Junior Achievement Slovakia provides hands on, immersive learning in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial health for students and teachers in Slovakia. With an annual impact of over 30 000 students and a total impact of nearly 500 000 students in over 30 years, JA Slovakia is a member organisation of JA Europe and JA Worldwide - one of the world’s largest and most-impactful youth-serving nonprofits. JA Worldwide delivers more than 15 million student experiences each year in over 100 countries. It is one of few organizations with the scale, experience, and passion to build a brighter future for the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders. JA Slovakia is very honoured to be a part of JA Worldwide, which have been nominated twice for the Nobel Peace Prize, in 2022 and 2023, for their significant social impact. The impact of Junior Achievement's real-world training extends beyond individual students. During their over 100 years history, and over 30 years in Slovakia, JA has been helping all over the world— including in refugee camps, countries wracked by war and violence, and areas of extreme poverty. JA Slovakia has been actively involved in helping students and refugees from Ukraine and helping them overcome their challenges. By helping youth develop the employment and entrepreneurial tools to find meaningful work and start sustainable companies, JA serves as a conduit for peace and prosperity. Through Junior Achievement, young people are equipped with the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities.
